Each teacher has been asked to define what their pedagogy, or philosophy, of how the introduction of laptops for students will influence their specific classes. Below is how I view this for my art classes.
I believe that laptops are an interest-generating, motivating tool that, if made available to my students, will provide a greater scope of learning and experience within my classroom.
Because of this, I will design and deliver lessons that allow students to experience relevant, content area problems that provide opportunities to problem-solve using creativity and technology.
At the same time, students will use their laptops daily to uniquely and creatively solve these problems by aggressively attempting new ideas and methods as well as collaborating with others.
