Digital Transformation at RSSD

Beginning in the 2011-12 school year, Reeds Spring School District began a research and planning phase for our digital transformation with a goal of meeting the needs of all learners in a 21st century learning environment.  After nine months of professional development for teachers, our high school students received their devices. Our roll out in the high school was in January of 2013, and our middle school roll out in grades 7 and 8 was the following January of 2014. Following the same professional development timeline with teachers for grades 5 and 6, and grades K-1, students in those grades are set to receive their mobile devices in August of 2016.  These anytime and anywhere tools will enhance the learning experiences for students as teachers redesign lessons and units of instruction to meet the needs of learners.
