Reeds Spring senior golfers Ty Cooper and Reece McMurdo placed in the top 15 of the Big 8 Conference Tournament last week and were named to the All-Conference Team. Cooper placed 10th and McMurdo finished 13th. The Wolves were fifth as a team. At the Forsyth Tournament, Cooper finished first by shooting a 69.
At the Big 8 Conference Track and Field Meet, Reeds Spring’s boys team finished ninth. Caden Wiest won the shot put and the 4x100-meter relay team finished second.
The Wolves lost to Springfield Catholic 4-0. Dayne Smith pitched six innings and only allowed three earned runs. Marionville beat RSHS 11-1. Blayne Blevins was 2-3 with two doubles.
Last week, the RSHS tennis team beat Clever 6-3. In the Big 8 Conference Tournament, the Wolves placed fifth overall. The #3 doubles team of Xander De Jager and Trenten Deason made it to the final round, placing second in their flight. Matthew Greenwalt and Jaden McGuirk finished fourth in their flight. At the individual district tournament, Greenwalt and McGuirk finished third, narrowly missing the cutoff for the state tournament.
