Wolves Pitchers Combine for No-Hitter

Reeds Spring High School’s baseball team defeated Springfield Central 11-1 last week. Justin Locke, Brandt Miller, and Ryan Thomas combined to pitch a no-hitter. Locke also had 11 strikeouts. Miller, Locke, Nick Brianczyk, and Blayne Blevins all had two hits apiece. Later in the week, the Wolves lost to Hollister 10-0.

The RSHS golf team finished sixth out of 23 teams at the Greene Hills Invitational in Willard. Ty Cooper finished fifth overall.

At the Jason Pyrah Invitational in Willard, Reeds Spring’s Tanner Hirschi won the pole vault by clearing 12-feet six inches. Lance Hafar won the high jump, clearing six-feet two inches. The team finished 11th overall.

At Hollister, the girls 4x100-meter relay and 4x200-meter relay teams finished second, and Karsen Bolt was second in the pole vault. For the boys, the 4x100-meter relay finished first. So did Lance Hafar in the high jump and Caden Wiest in the shot put. Hirschi was second in the pole vault. The boys finished third overall and the girls finished seventh.

The Wolves beat Parkview 9-0 and lost to New Covenant 6-3. In the New Covenant loss, Ethan Gordon and Matthew Greenwalt won their singles matches.
