The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library honored Mr. Tim Scego as the Teacher of the Month for January. Scego teaches Social Studies at Reeds Spring High School.
“Tim is one of the first teachers that I hired at RSHS,” said principal Dr. Isaac Sooter. “He’s the kind of teacher all parents want for their kids. Tim always approaches things with positive solutions and ideas. We are lucky to have him at RSHS.”
This is Scego’s sixth year with the district. In addition to his teaching duties, Scego also coaches the Academic Bowl team, sponsors the National Honor Society, and serves on the school’s leadership team.
RSHS senior Ally Moler said, “Mr. Scego is one of my favorite teachers. His class always has a structure that makes it easier to learn and understand the content. He tries his best to make the lessons more interesting and engaging by attempting to relate to us teens with the current slang and memes!”
Mr. Scego also has the respect of his fellow teachers. Mr. Philip Dougherty said, “He is always willing to do more than he was asked and doesn’t settle for anything less than excellent. Working with Tim has been a great blessing and I can’t imagine having a better mentor and leader! He is more than deserving of this honor.”
