Wolves Begin Winter Sports Season

Reeds Spring High School student-athletes compete in three winter sports: boys basketball, girls basketball, and wrestling.

The boys basketball team started the season by winning the consolation bracket of the Forsyth Tournament. In the opening round of the tournament, the Wolves lost to Berryville 54-37. Micah Asbill led the team with 11 points. RSHS then defeated School of the Ozarks 49-46. Lance Hafar scored 19 points in that game. The Wolves also beat Hollister 51-50 in overtime. Ty Cooper scored 18 points and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Girls Basketball
The Lady Wolves dropped the season opener to Sparta 63-30. In the Blue Eye Tournament, RSHS lost to Forsyth 78-39 and Glendale 47-29.

Wrestling
The Wolves defeated West Plains and Springfield Catholic in the first meet of the season. Rocky Love, Easton Byrne, and Cayden Love each pinned both of their opponents. At the Bolivar Dual Tournament, the team went 1-4, beating Parkview and losing to Kearney, Camdenton, Marshfield, and Republic. Chase Johnson went 2-1 at 120 pounds and Jakob McCracken was 3-2 at 152 pounds.
