Freshman Golfer Qualifies for State

Reeds Spring High School’s Ty Cooper qualified for the state golf tournament by finishing sixth during last week’s sectional. Cooper, a freshman, shot an 82 at the course in Carl Junction. Senior Ross McMurdo also competed in the sectional.

Track and Field

The Wolves competed in the Class 3 district meet in Hollister. The girls finished third overall and the boys were fourth. The following athletes advanced to the sectional meet which will be held this weekend in Waynesville.

Paige Rantz - 1st in pole vault

Shelby Strailey - 1st in 400-meter dash and 1st in 200-meter dash

Girls 4x100-meter relay - 1st

Girls 4x200-meter relay - 1st

Izzy Erickson - 2nd in 300-meter hurdles and 2nd in 200-meter dash

Colby Dowdy - 2nd in 110-meter hurdles and 4th in 300-meter hurdles

Nick Huston - 2nd in 400-meter dash

Sean Gross - 2nd in 800-meter run

Ashley Nolan - 3rd in 100-meter dash

Troy Froeschle - 3rd in 200-meter dash

Matt Allison -  4th in 200-meter dash

Boys 4x400 relay - 4th

Baseball

Reeds Spring lost to Springfield Catholic, 5-1 in the district tournament. The Wolves finished the season with a record of 11-8.
