Wolves Send Two Golfers to Sectional Tournament

Two Reeds Spring High School golfers qualified for the sectional tournament by placing in the top 15 at the district competition last week in Cassville.

Freshmen Ty Cooper shot an 83, which was good for fifth place. Senior Ross McMurdo shot a 90, finishing in 15th. The team finished seventh overall. Both Cooper and McMurdo competed in the sectional tournament at Carl Junction on Monday, May 6.

Track and Field
The Wolves competed in the Big 8 Conference Meet in Mt. Vernon last week. Paige Rantz won the pole vault, and the boys 4x100-meter relay also finished first. Shelby Strailey placed second in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. Nick Huston was also second in the 400-meter dash.
RSHS lost to Marshfield, 7-3. Cole Watson had two hits, including a double and an RBI. Paxton Smith also had an RBI. Justin Locke pitched five innings and struck out five batters.
The Wolves competed in the Big 8 Conference Tournament last week and placed fifth. Connery Spain finished third in his flight, while Anthony Dowdell and Parker Maloney finished fourth in their flights.
