Freshmen Earn Awards in Countywide Essay Contest

The Stone County Historical Society recognized several RSHS freshmen for essays written about their families. As part of a countywide contest, students were asked to research their families as far back as they could find with resources provided by the Historical Society and Stone County Library.

Students then had to turn in their research and a 500-word essay reflecting on what they learned about their ancestors.
